Where the money comes from and where it goes
The county budget has 25 funds. The General Fund is the largest. It pays for the Sheriff, roads, building inspections, and most daily county work. The other 24 funds hold money that the law or the Council set aside for one purpose, such as the library, roads, or bond payments.
